Siaya: Family pleads for help after their daughter went missing a year ago
A family in Bondo, Siaya county, is living in agony after their 16-year-old daughter went missing almost a year ago.
Vivian Atieno Otieno, a Form One student at Nyamira Girls’ High school in Bondo, reportedly went missing in April 2023.
According to the father, Boniface Otieno Owuor, his daughter left home to visit an aunt in Kisumu – but has never been seen since.
This is not the first time Atieno disappeared from home – according to the family.
“My daughter had displayed signs of mental challenges, and we were making advanced plans to enrol her for treatment and medication when she disappeared,” said the dad.
The family is appealing to members of the public and the police to help them trace their daughter.
