Three businessmen were on Monday night lynched by a mob in Bondo, Siaya after they were ambushed while slaughtering a cow in a bush, suspected to have been stolen.
The three were killed by a mob in Okanda village of West Sakwa while slaughtering a cow suspected to have been stolen.
According to Utonga assistant chief Aluoch Chacha, the trio were subjected to mob injustice and succumbed in the process.
"They were found having slaughtered a cow suspected to have been stolen, belonging to Monica Olulo, a resident of the same village," reported Chacha.
Also in the bush, Chacha said, was a TukTuk.
"The TukTuk was presumably on standby to ferry the meat once the slaughtering process was over," Chacha said.
The three bodies were taken to Bondo subcounty mortuary awaiting autopsy and the TukTuk was towed to Bondo police station.
