Entertainer and content creator Oga Obinna has officially declared that he will never marry again. Speaking to bloggers during an event over the weekend, the media personality revealed his decision is based on the emotional well-being of his children.

Obinna, who was attending a function for musician King Kaka, explained that his grown-up kids have already witnessed him go through two failed relationships. He stated that he does not want to subject them to further emotional distress.

"I already have grown-up kids, and they've seen me try two other relationships that didn't end well. I don't want to put them through that trauma again,” he explained.

The Impact on His Family

The entertainer shared that his children are now vocal about his dating life. He claimed they have explicitly asked him not to bring new partners into their home. According to Obinna, the kids want to avoid seeing him suffer from "character development"—a local term for heartbreak—and having to deal with the aftermath.

He noted that in the past, he brought people he trusted into their shared space. However, he now feels it is better to keep his romantic life and his family life entirely separate.

Dating on New Terms

While marriage is off the table, Obinna clarified that he is still open to dating. However, he insisted on maintaining separate households. He suggested that even if he were to pay for a partner's rent and expenses, they would not live together.

“You know I don’t want to get married. I will date yes, but unakaa kwako, mimi ninakaa kwangu. Kama ni mimi nakupangia nyumba, nakulipia rent na other things, I will do all that, lakini kila mtu akae kwake!”

The content creator also emphasised that he is not searching for a "mother figure" for his children. He expressed a desire for any future partner to live their own independent life.

"When I get this person, I’m not looking for a mother to my kids. If I get to find you, I want you to experience your life as your own,” he added.

Strict Planning for Future Children

If a potential partner wants to have children with him, Obinna stated the process would be strictly medical. He dismissed the idea of unplanned pregnancies. Instead, he insisted on visiting doctors to ensure every detail is scheduled and planned.

A Focus on Business and Growth

Obinna’s decision comes as he continues to expand his business ventures. He currently oversees an office with more than 50 employees. He is also heavily involved in the sports and entertainment industry.

His upcoming MMA event involves 18 different fighters and is expected to provide work for over 200 to 300 people. This includes judges, referees, and support staff.

Despite the public interest in his personal life, Obinna maintains that his priority is his career and his role as a father. He stated that he remains focused on how to make more money and how to be a better human being for his children.
