Narok: Investigation launched after a police man assaulted a DJ over a suspected love triangle

Police in Narok are hot on the trails of one of their own, who brutally assaulted a night club Disc Jockey (DJ) who he suspected was involved with a barmaid the entertainer worked with.

Recounting the harrowing experience during an interview with journalists, the visibly traumatized and injured DJ narrated that the officer came to his house and knocked down his door after which he descended on him over what he described as hitting on his girlfriend.

"He stormed into my house, dragged me outside and started beating me. He flogged me with a cane, till the cane splintered into pieces," the DJ narrated in an interview with Inooro TV.

The entertainer further narrated that the officer pulled out a dagger and attempted to stab him. The DJ revealed that the officer threatened to kill him and was convinced he would get away with it since he is a state officer.

The DJ survived the stabbing because the public saw the officer pull out his dagger. Concerned members of the public started screaming and raising the alarm.

The officer after noticing that the public had seen him put back the knife and dragged the DJ to the bar where the entertainer worked together with the barmaid where he continued with the beating.

The entertainer further explained that he acknowledged that the officer in question once saw him talking to the barmaid which could have set off the officer.

" It seems that the barmaid who was my friend was his girlfriend because he was battering me in the girl's room at the lodging of the club we work for. When he saw us talking he got jealous"

The DJ also acknowledged he had been friends with the barmaid for a long time.

Explaining the events after that, the DJ explained he sustained serious injuries from the beating he got including a swollen face which made it difficult for him to open his eyes.

"He took me into a lodging at the club I worked for. He continued beating me up and asked for a rungu which he used to clobber me." the DJ explained.

The DJ, who is recuperating at his parents' home then made a plea to well-wishers for help stating the police officer broke his arm meaning he cannot make money.

His parents, speaking to the journalists were livid and asked the government to take measures and bring the officer to book.

"If the public had not seen my son, he would be dead. " His mother concluded.

Currently struggling to even walk, the DJ is also appealing for justice to be served.
