Nandi: Police launches investigation after a man was hacked to death by his relative

Police in Singor, Nandi District, have launched an investigation after a after a 59-year-old man was hacked to death in a domestic dispute with his relative.
William Kimalyo Mosop, a resident of Chosereb village, was allegedly killed by his relative following an argument.
“An argument broke out between the suspect and the deceased, during which the suspect picked up a panga and hacked the man on the head and right hand,” police said in their report.
The victim is said to have died on the spot after bleeding profusely.
The suspect also attacked the deceased’s wife, cutting her on the left hand and leg.
She was rushed to Nandi Hills Sub County Hospital for medical attention while the body of the deceased was taken to the mortuary of the same facility for autopsy.
Police are searching for the suspect, who escaped after Wednesday’s attacks.
They are yet to establish the motive behind the attack.
