
Nakuru: Police Arrest One Suspect After Seizing Distilling Machines and 46 Boxes of Illicit Liquor

A suspect in the distillation and packaging of illegal liquor has been apprehended by police in Naivasha, Nakuru County.
Buleti Amson, 20, was apprehended during an operation that seized 46 boxes of illegal alcohol as well as illegal distilling and packaging products.
According to a statement issued by the National Police Service (NPS) on Thursday, a contingent of multi-agency officers raided the premises in Naivasha on Wednesday and recovered the various products.
The police department also stated that Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) stickers were discovered during the raid.
"During a raid in Naivasha, a multi-agency team led by NPS and NGAO officers recovered assorted suspected distilling machines and illicit brews, including 46 boxes of Moon Ice, a sealing and filling machine, rolls of KRA stickers and Moon Ice stickers, and several bundles of empty boxes," according to the NPS statement.
The suspect was scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
