Naivasha: Body of a pregnant woman found dumped in a bush
Police in Naivasha are investigating an incident where the body of a pregnant woman was found dumped near the sanctuary area.
Confirming the incident, Naivasha Deputy OCPD Samuel Ooro stated that the lady suspected to be in her mid-20s may have been killed elsewhere before being dumped at the scene.
“It’s evident that this woman was murdered elsewhere and the body ferried to the scene as no one around this estate knows her,” he told a local publication.
“Members of the public have recovered the body of a woman in her mid-20s who looks pregnant and we have started investigations,” he added.
The OCPD also confirmed that herders in a shrub first discovered the body before they informed the police.
At the time of the discovery, the body had visible injuries on various parts of the body, likely to have been inflicted by a sharp object.
The body of the deceased was moved to a local mortuary.
