Content creator Murugi Munyi has shared her humorous concerns over the rising trend of cosmetic surgery among female celebrities in Nairobi.

In a video posted on Monday, November 24, 2025, Munyi highlighted the transformations of stars like Lydia Wanjiru and Pritty Vishy, noting that they are embracing procedures such as BBLs, liposuction, and tummy tucks.

She explained that she felt it was important to make the video because he had been “really worried lately” about how this trend could affect the city.

Munyi said, “Seeing the trend of female celebrities undergoing plastic surgery, I just saw today that Lydia Wanjiru got a BBL, a liposuction, and I think a tummy tuck. And of course we saw Pritty Vishy getting a BBL.”

Munyi’s video was delivered with his trademark humour as she considered the impact of so many confident, transformed women walking the streets of Nairobi. She questioned whether the city and its residents were ready for such beauty and confidence.

According to her, the increasing visibility of these transformations is creating what he jokingly calls “magic” in Nairobi, as women continue to live their best lives and make choices about their own bodies.

Munyi posed a playful but exaggerated concern: Can Nairobi handle being in the presence of women who are openly embracing cosmetic enhancements? She explained, “I am really worried about this trend, guys, because what are we gonna do with such beautiful women walking the streets of Nairobi? Can we handle it? Can we handle being in the presence of women who are living their best lives and doing what they want with their bodies?”

Her comments were clearly made on a lighter note, but they highlight the increasing attention and conversation around cosmetic surgery in Kenya. Munyi went further to humorously describe the impact of these transformations, suggesting that “the light will be shining from their behinds is going to be too much.”
