
Marakwet: Border patrol officer shoots 2 KFS rangers before killing himself

Residents of Kapcherop, Marakwet West are still in shock after a Border Patrol Unit officer shot and killed two Kenya Forest Rangers before turning the gun on himself.
According to the residents, the officer who works in Turkana County accessed the Cherangany Forest Station in Kapcherop and shot the two at around 2 AM.
"The third KFS officer was shot and injured and is recuperating in hospital," said a local resident.
The police officer based in Todonyang then turned the gun on himself, shooting himself in the chin.
