A 60-year-old man in Kisii County was caught in the act of having carnal knowledge with a dog.

The man was arrested after his wife caught him pants down committing an indecent act with their family dog at their home in Mosocho village. He is set to be charged in court for allegedly committing bestiality.

In Kenya, bestiality or unnatural act is considered a felony per Section 162(b) of the Penal Code.A person found guilty of committing the offence is liable for imprisonment for up to 14 years and under Section 163 it is stipulated that a person who attempts to commit any unnatural offence is liable to imprisonment for 7 years.

According to a police report on the incident, the man sneaked out of their house at around 1 am on Sunday night leaving the wife in the house.

Shortly afterwards, the wife claims to have been alerted by the peculiar wailing of their dog, prompting her to get out of the house and find out what was happening.

“…at about 01:00hrs, her husband went out of their dwelling house where they heard their female dog howling and wailing a lot.

She also rushed out to see what might be going on, only to be shocked to find her husband, a Kisii male adult aged 60 years old having unnatural offence with their domestic female dog namely 'Poster',” read the police report in part.

“She raised an alarm which alerted more members of the family who witnessed the act,” police added.
