
Epileptic Girl Drowns While Collecting Firewood in Migori

A 17-year-old girl on Monday drowned in River Romolo at Gesiora village in Suna West, Migori County while collecting firewood.
Kuria West sub-county police commander Cleti Kimaiyo said the deceased was climbing a tree as he fetched firewood when she accidentally fell into the river and she drowned.
He said other children who were washing clothes along the river tried to save her but unfortunately, they could not hold him on life.
Kimaiyo said the parents of the deceased indicated that the deceased has been suffering from epilepsy.
The body was moved to Akidiva Hospital mortuary pending autopsy.
