Embu: Narrow Escape As Family Of Five Involved In Road Accident
A family escaped death by a whisker following an accident in Runyenjes, Embu County.
Police said the accident happened along the Embu-Meru highway.
The early morning incident happened after the driver of a personal car lost control of the vehicle.
“The driver lost control of the vehicle before veering off the road,” a witness told Citizen Digital.
The vehicle then burst into flames moments after the accident at Mufu junction area.
“A family of five was in the vehicle at the time of the incident. Luckily, no deaths were reported,” another added.
Meanwhile, the five are undergoing treatment at Kyeni Mission Hospital in Runyenjes.
“They sustained minor injuries. Some of them are being treated for minor burns,” hospital officials said.
