"Alikuwa Ananitumia Vibaya": Depressed! Singer Yammi Spills The Beans on Exit from Nandy's Record Label

Tanzanian singer Yammi has opened up for the first time after leaving singer Nandy's record label.

In an interview with Tanzanian online media, Yammi said she was asked by Nandy to pay Tsh 100 million, which is equivalent to Ksh 4.8 million, after terminating her contract.

"I went through a lot. It got to a time when I started getting depressed. Well, I know you can't always be happy because challenges are there," she said

Two weeks after leaving the label, her home was broken into.

"The robbers sprayed on us, we couldn't feel ourselves, they stole my TV, my money, phone. I woke up and found my door and windows were open."

Her social media accounts were also hacked. Asked if she believes that it might be from her previous label, she said no.

"No, it is just normal challenges, now everything is good."
