Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has set social media abuzz after revealing that she has purchased a new home, a move that comes amid reports of turmoil in her marriage to Nigerian businessman and senator Ned Nwoko.

The actress shared a video of her newly acquired property on Instagram, captioning it: “In my house, I am a Queen! I needed a roof over my head, so I got this for me and my family.”

The announcement follows Daniels’ recent allegations of physical and emotional abuse against her husband. Many fans have since interpreted the house purchase as a symbolic step towards independence and possibly the beginning of a new chapter away from her billionaire spouse.

 Adding to the ongoing buzz, Nwoko himself has made headlines this week after defending polygamy during an interview on Politics Today on Channels Television. The Delta North senator argued that men with multiple wives are “more stable and balanced” than those in monogamous marriages.

“I feel sorry for those who have one wife,” he said. “Just imagine standing on one leg; it’s difficult. But with two, three, or four, you’re more balanced. That’s the example I give.”

The outspoken lawmaker, who is currently married to four wives, maintained that he has no regrets about his choices. “No, I don’t have any regret. I would do the same thing again. You should marry who you want to marry,” he stated confidently.

While neither Daniels nor Nwoko has publicly confirmed whether they are separating, the actress’s latest move, coupled with her husband’s controversial comments has only intensified speculation about the state of their marriage.
