Zari Hassan has strongly dismissed claims of rekindling her love for Diamond Platnumz amid accusations of not moving on after their breakup in 2018.

Speaking during a phone interview with Millard Ayo TV, Zari addressed the recent video of Diamond and her holding hands which sparked a storm.

She reiterated that the video was shot to promote Diamond's new song 'Mapoz'.

The 43-year-old mother of five also stressed that she does not have romantic feelings for her baby daddy, describing their relationship as purely platonic.

Zari strongly dismissed claims in Tanzanian gossip mills that she has been sleeping with Diamond, swearing that the closest she ever got to her baby daddy since their breakup was only when they hugged.

"Tanzania wanapenda umbea which is nice but sometimes musilazimishe vitu when you don't know the full story na don't make things kukua so big when you don't even know what it is.

"Hapa hapo kwenye summery ilikua video shoot, sing'ang'anii Diamond, sitaki kurudiana na Diamond. Tangu niachane na Diamond walai bilai sijawai kurudia nyuma not even for a kiss not even for… nakwama tu hapo kwenyewe hug nini that's it. Sijawai na nasema tena siwezi kurudiana na Diamond.

"Unajua kwa nini? It is like reading a book ama movie, unajua hio movie inaisha aje but you are still watching it, what is the point? Siwezi rudia kusoma kitabu na nishasoma na najua how it ends. Siwezi rudiana na Diamond," Zari said.

Zari Hassan further advised Zuchu to love Diamond Platnumz the way he is with his flaws, subtly referring to the singer's skirt-chasing trait.

The Ugandan socialite further stressed that no woman can change her baby daddy, noting that he himself will change when he sees fit.

"I think Zuchu anamjua Diamond ni nani, anamjua tabia zake na hizo vitu. Na so many times unasemanga 'ohh I will change this man'.

"Men don't change because of the woman, men change because they want to change. Sasa Zuchu kama amekubali kumpenda Diamond, ampende hivyo hivyo.

"At the end of the day Diamond ataona tu tabia zake akasema 'lakini huyu mtu mbona yupo namfanyia vibaya?' He will eventually settle," Zari said.
