Gospel singer Linet Munyali, popularly known as Size 8, has opened up about the emotional toll her past separation from husband DJ Mo had on their children, particularly their eldest daughter, Ladasha Belle Wambui.
Speaking in a candid interview with media personality Betty Kyallo, the award-winning artist revealed that their 7-month separation deeply impacted their family dynamics.
“In all this, I didn’t factor in Wambo,” Size 8 confessed, referring to her daughter.
“Wambo was really affected because her father is everything. Wambo can live without me, but not the dad, so she was really affected. She didn’t know exactly what was happening but missed her dad’s presence. She asked me questions like, ‘Where is daddy?’ That’s when I realized a part of me was really selfish.”
The ‘Afadhali Yesu’ hitmaker recounted a heartbreaking moment when Ladasha visited her father and saw his new living space during the separation.
“When she came back home, I had no idea how much it had affected her,” she recalled.
“The next day, I got a call from school saying she was crying. Her class teacher explained that she was upset because her dad was living in a different house. That moment was a wake-up call for me; it made me realize just how deeply she was feeling everything.”
Size 8 also admitted to missing her husband during their time apart. “I missed him, I missed him so much, I won’t lie. I missed who he was in the house and who he was to the children,” the ‘Mateke’ singer revealed.
Ultimately, she said it was her strong maternal instincts and concern for her children's emotional well-being that played a significant role in their decision to reconcile. “Seeing how much my children's joy depended on both of us being together made me realize the importance of keeping our family unit intact,” she shared.

She also had kind words for her husband, DJ Mo, commending his commitment to their children. “Mo is a dad and a half,” she said, describing him as a devoted and loving father.
The gospel power couple, who have been together since 2013, recently rekindled their marriage in a lavish white wedding, months after they shocked fans with news of their breakup shared on social media.
