Musician Nameless has revealed that his parents are celebrating six decades of marriage.
Through his Instagram page, Nameless shared a photo with the elderly couple, noting that he visited them at home to join in marking their 60th wedding anniversary.
The artist, who is nearing 20 years of marriage with his wife Wahu Kagwi, disclosed that he has drawn inspiration and marriage lessons from his parents.
“I came home to see my parents celebrating 60 years of marriage! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🫡🫡 Happy anniversary, Daddy and Mama! My eternal role models 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿. Thank you for showing us the way! ♥️♥️ #60YearsOfLove&Friendship #MyFoundation #MyLifeCoaches,” Nameless wrote.
Fans congratulated him for following the excellent example set by his parents in staying committed to marriage, especially as a public figure.
Wahu was among those who sent congratulatory messages to the couple for maintaining their bond over the years.
“Happy anniversary to Daddy and Mama!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 May God continue to protect you and surround you with His goodness!” Wahu wrote.
Nameless and Wahu are among the few celebrity couples who have remained married for a long time, elevating them to the status of role models and societal icons in matters of love and marriage.
In September, the couple celebrated 19 years of their marriage, which began in the early 2000s as they were starting out in their music careers.
They took to their social media accounts to celebrate each other with heartfelt messages:
“Today we celebrate 19 years since we said ‘I DO!’ To my best friend, my love, and my life partner! Here’s to continuing to grow and learn together! Happy anniversary, Babe! I love you forever and always ❤️❤️!”
“Here’s to many more! And to our online family, thank you for always showing us love and being part of our journey! 🙏🏿🙏🏿 Thank you, @nscbyswissbelhotel, for hosting us for our anniversary.”
The powerhouse music couple first met in 1998 at a university event held at the then-popular Grand Regency Hotel.
Nameless, who enjoyed rapping, was tipped off about the event by a friend and decided to perform, leading to their first meeting.
