Shorn Arwa praise couples who courageously prioritise their mental health and walk away from toxic marriages

Model Shorn Arwa has shared her thoughts on the growing trend of young couples ending their marriages, a phenomenon that has surged in the first week of September.

Through Instagram, Arwa weighed in on the matter just hours after Thee Pluto revealed his separation from Felicity Shiru, and one week after Marya Okoth confirmed her own divorce from comedian YY.

According to Arwa, it is painful to see young couples deciding to end their marriages within five years of falling in love, but she also views it as a courageous decision for mental health.

“Hello everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about young marriages lately. It’s really sad to see so many of them falling apart. But on the other hand, it’s encouraging to see this generation becoming so aware that they have the courage to prioritize their mental health and walk away when things aren’t working out,” Arwa said.

She extended her heartfelt support to all young couples struggling to maintain their marriages despite numerous challenges.

“My heart goes out to all the couples going through these challenges. I send them all my love and support,” she added.

In the past four months, many prominent couples in the country have announced their breakups, leaving their fans uncertain about their relationships.

The wave of separations began in May with Khalif Khairo and Cera Imani, followed by Teleh Pacbro and Martina. In June, Kagwe Mungai and Sharon Mwangi also parted ways.

In July, Chris Kaiga and Joana Kinuthia announced their split, and in August, Size 8 and DJ Mo followed suit.
