Ugandan man, Shakib 'Cham' Lutaaya is the husband to Ugandan-South-African-based businesswoman Zari Hassan.

In a recent interview on Uganda's UnCut show, Shakib said that he had had an interest in the mother of five for a long time.

At first, he used to attend her White Parties that were held annually in Uganda to get to see her. Shakib relocated to South Africa five years ago, and at one point, he followed the businesswoman when she was driving to the mall.

For the first time, he introduced himself to her. Upon meeting for the second time, Shakib told her how he felt. The two would later meet in Uganda where they started developing their friendship into a relationship. Since then, the two have grown from being just a dating couple to being married.

Zari and Shakib recently held their wedding in South Africa. She confirmed that she sold the rights of her wedding to Netflix so that it could be aired during the Young, Famous, And African reality show.

She added that her baby daddy, Diamond Platnumz will also be on the third season of the show which is set for next year.

Recently, Diamond Platnumz and Shakib met. Zari explained that the singer wanted to meet her husband as he spends more time with the star's kids.

"I think, it is us the women who like rope-pulling, but for the two men, they were very cool about it,” said Zari

Adding; “Some time back, I remember I sat down with Diamond and when I told him I was married he said he wanted to meet my man,” she said.

"He knew the kind of person that was spending more time with his children than him.

"Then I talked to Shakib about it…I asked him if he was down with it and he said yes. In the end, it was the easiest thing to do.”

“He acknowledged that he is no longer in the children’s lives and said he was happy that (Shakib) was a kind and cool guy. Right now they are good friends,”
