Kenyan gospel artiste Guardian Angel has sparked online debate after revealing how his wife, Esther Musila, played a vital role in transforming his music career and personal growth.
The “Rada” hitmaker, known for his unapologetic confidence, opened up about their financial stability, proudly declaring that the couple could never go broke.
Speaking at a recent event, Guardian Angel recounted how his partner initially showed deep interest in his music, long before their romantic relationship began.
“She was just concerned about my life and music, but I was seeing potential. She was even coming to my video shoots, bringing me water, running around all that time, and I thought, God, this is something good,” he said.
The gospel star credited Musila for helping him refocus and realise his potential, noting that her guidance and belief in his vision reshaped both his mindset and career trajectory.
He described himself today as a “very wealthy, wise, and strong person,” attributes he linked to her influence.
‘We Can Never Go Broke’
Guardian Angel went on to boast about the financial success they’ve achieved as a couple, asserting that they had reached a point where even if they stopped working, they would still remain financially secure.

“Today, if I tell her we are not working from today, we want to just sleep—hatutawai sota, hatuwezi sota (we can never be broke).
The point that God has made us reach, we cannot go hungry even if we decide to just sleep. But for us, we don’t sleep; we keep working,” he said confidently.
Netizens React to Guardian Angel’s Remarks
His statement quickly went viral, sparking mixed reactions among fans. While some praised his confidence and gratitude, others accused him of pride.

Guardian Angel Addresses Past Claims About Marrying for Wealth
In earlier interviews, the gospel singer dismissed claims that he married Musila for money. He admitted he was aware of her financial stability but clarified that his success came through hard work and her unwavering support.
“When we met, I knew she was financially stable, but I never planned to depend on her. Through her support, I achieved financial independence,” he said.zx
