Months ago, Tiktoker Pritty Vishy began her weight loss journey using Ozempic, a Diabetes drug used by thousands other celebrities.
She now has a major update.
Speaking during a Q and A segment with Mpasho's Kalondu Musyimi, Vishy now says she has lost 30kgs.
"I have lost 30kgs, I was 112, my target is 70kgs."
What was her first job?
"I was a mama fua earning Sh200."
Tattoos?
"I have three."
Biggest lesson learned?
"Not everybody who laughs with you loves you."
When she was starting her journey, Vishy took to her socials to announce her plans to shed weight.

Sadly, the 23-year-old content creator has been severally body shamed.
In 2024, a comment from a popular Church leader about her appearance elicited sharp criticism, as Kenyans told off the Pastor, who publicly apologized later for his remarks.

In her response, Vishy said some of the reasons she and others stopped going to church was because of the hypocrisy in places of worship.
"You and other hypocrites who hide in churches are the reason why we stopped stepping into ‘the house of the Lord’ Since you did so well to remind me that I am ugly, unattractive, and fat which all this is true coz I mean...Let's meet in your church, stand on that altar, in front of your church members and you should repeat all those words..."

The type 2 diabetes drug Ozempic has gained popularity on social media.
Ozempic's online popularity stems from the drug's shown ability to help diabetics lose weight, not merely from its ability to control blood sugar.
TikTok influencers and celebrities have reported using it to quickly lose weight. The number of people trying to get Ozempic in the hopes of reducing weight has increased despite the fact that it is not recommended for weight loss.
After Ozempic, a prescribed medication for Type 2 diabetes, made headlines last year as Hollywood's secret weight loss treatment, demand for the drug skyrocketed.

An online investigation shows each dosage can cost between Sh.75,000 and around Sh.120,000.
Internationally below are celebrities who have lost weight using Ozempic. Oprah Winfrey, Kelly Clarkson, Kathy Bates, Amy Schumer, Whoopi Goldberg.
Several other Kenyan celebrities and famous personalities have also come out to disclose they are using Ozempic, with others using other methods such as the Gastric Balloon to deal with their challenges.
Other methods that are also being adopted include using the slimming wire, a method of weight loss that involves a medical professional wiring a person's jaw to prevent them from eating solid food.
