Ukambani TikToker Prince Benja, whose mum suffers from a debilitating eye condition, is the latest beneficiary to receive overwhelming support from TikTokers following his desperate appeals on the video-sharing app.
TikTokers from across Kenya, after days of coordination, made good on their vow to visit his family on Sunday, November 30, 2025, descending upon their Ukambani home with care packages, substantial monetary donations, and assorted shopping, leaving the young creator visibly emotional.
A video shared by Kamba media personality Katumbi captured the arrival of prominent TikTokers, including MC Chris Kirubi and Priscillah Waimani, flooding into Benja’s homestead and urging the thousands who had gathered to give generously towards his mother’s treatment.
The footage shows Benja being ushered to the podium, where the crowd erupted in cheers, only for him to break down as he attempted to address the immense gathering that had come to their aid.
He recounted the struggle of caring for his ailing mother and explained how he had begun sharing videos of their daily routine on TikTok in the hope that someone, somewhere, might extend a helping hand.

“That time, my mum was going to different hospitals because of her condition. And because of my mum’s illness, it was my aunt who took care of me and even took me to high school, and I completed it,” he said, overwhelmed with tears.
As he spoke, his aunt, who stood beside him on the podium, also broke down uncontrollably, prompting the crowd to cheer them on warmly and encourage them not to lose hope.
The event was attended by a host of celebrities and community figures, among them renowned Kamba gospel singer Stephen Kasolo, media personality Ricky B, TikToker Swings Mauno and Joan Mutheu, adding to the sense of unity that has defined recent TikTok-driven humanitarian efforts.
Benja’s fundraiser arrived at a time when TikTokers across Kenya had already demonstrated extraordinary levels of generosity in two major charitable mobilisations that swept the country in the weeks preceding his appeal.
The first was the remarkable fundraiser for Mama Gift in Embu, held on October 26, 2025. What began as her heartfelt TikTok plea for assistance with her son’s specialised treatment in India quickly snowballed into a massive, youth-led movement that saw thousands converge at the Njukiri Showground.
By mid-morning, the grounds were overflowing, with many supporters forced to follow the proceedings from the roadside or through TikTok livestreams after the venue exceeded capacity. The atmosphere was electric yet deeply emotional, with streams of young people arriving armed with donations, some carrying food supplies, furniture, or household goods, while many others contributed money after hearing her story online.
This mobilisation had, in fact, itself followed the emotional and widely talked-about fundraiser for Kaluma Boy in Othaya on September 28, 2025.
His story, shared over months through raw, heartfelt videos documenting the daily challenges of caring for his bedridden father after a severe stroke, had gripped the nation.
When he finally reached out for help, the response was immediate and overwhelming. Hundreds of supporters travelled from far and wide, some in buses arranged spontaneously by well-wishers, others on motorbikes in organised groups, and many in private vehicles.
By the time the event commenced, the village field chosen to host the fundraiser spilt well beyond its capacity, with crowds standing along nearby roads as the air filled with chants, prayers, and shouts of encouragement.
