The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has appealed to the public to assist in locating a man accused of killing his wife and two young daughters in Samburu County late last month.
In a statement on Wednesday, October 8, the DCI identified the suspect as 28-year-old Wycliffe Otieno Odero, who has been on the run since the brutal killings.
"The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is appealing for information from members of the public that may lead to the arrest of 28-year-old Wycliffe Otieno Odero.
"Odero is wanted in connection with the brutal murder of his wife and two children on September 27, 2025, in Yare area of Samburu Central Sub-County," the statement read.
According to the DCI, the horrific incident unfolded after Odero allegedly returned home late that night, leading to a deadly confrontation with his family.
"On that tragic night, the suspect returned to their rented house on the Maralal–Nyahururu road, where he lived with his wife, Ann Njeri Atheera, and their daughters, Natalia Nyambura (6) and Tyra Jones (4)," the statement added.

Investigators revealed that the attack was fueled by alcohol and rage, resulting in the deaths of all three victims.
"In a fit of drunken rage, he attacked his wife, inflicting fatal stab wounds before turning his violent outburst on the two sleeping children, tragically slitting their throats. He then fled into the night and has been evading capture ever since," the statement further read.
Despite ongoing efforts to trail and arrest the suspect, detectives have been unsuccessful thus far.
This comes a week after the DCI announced a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of Collins Jumaisi Khalusha, the main suspect in the Kware dumpsite killings.
In a statement on Tuesday, September 30, DCI said Jumaisi who escaped from police custody before he was scheduled to be charged in court, is still a wanted man.
"Collins Jumaisi Khalusha, the prime suspect in the monstrous killing of several women whose bodies and parts were retrieved from the Kware dumpsite in Nairobi, is still wanted by police. Jumaisi escaped from custody in August 2024, moments ahead of his arraignment for murder," the statement read.

The DCI said the National Police Service (NPS) is now offering a Ksh1 million reward to anyone who may have leads that could result in his capture.
"The National Police Service hereby pledges a cash reward of Ksh1 million to anyone who provides credible information that will assist in the re-arrest of the suspect.
"Should you know his whereabouts, #FichuaKwaDCI through our toll-free hotline 0800 722 203, or Whatsapp Number 0709 570 000. You can also report to your nearest police station or through the police hotlines 999, 911, or 112," the statement concluded.
