Trans Nzoia Senator Allan Chesang has gifted media personality Oga Obinna a high-end golf club in celebration of his graduation from Mount Kenya University with a First-Class Honours degree.

In a video shared on Instagram on Monday, December 8, 2025, Obinna is seen arriving at a driveway where he meets the senator.

Chesang retrieves a G440 Ping driver from his car and presents it to Obinna, highlighting that the new club would allow the ball to travel straight, unlike the one Obinna had been using previously.

“G440 Ping, it’s a driver. I saw the one you were using… You were hitting the ball, and the ball was not moving, so now with this one, the ball will be going straight,” Chesang said.

Obinna expressed his excitement at receiving the gift, sharing his joy over both his academic achievement and the senator’s thoughtful gesture.

He reflected on the pride of graduating with a First-Class Honours and immediately envisioned using the new club to compete in upcoming golf tournaments.

“So I just graduated with a First Class, Oga Obinna the man. And of course, Senator has said he wants to bless me with a graduation gift. Wow, I am so happy. Ok, I see it… It looks very good. So now you guys plan a tournament so I can thrash you with this one. Truly, thank you. You are my man,” Obinna said during their interaction.

The stand-up comedian graduated on Friday, December 5, 2025, with a First-Class Honours degree in Mass Media and Communication (Public Relations option) from Mount Kenya University.

Reflecting on his journey, Obinna took to his official Instagram account on the same day and shared that it had been a long and challenging ride.

“From the village to the city to the streets to the hustle, the struggle and back to school. Been an interesting ride,” Obinna reflected.

“Today I graduate with a FIRST CLASS HONOURS. BACHELOR OF ARTS IN MASS MEDIA AND COMMUNICATION (PR OPTION) 🎖 From THEEEEEE M.K.U. So it has been possible all along!”

He expressed gratitude to God for guidance throughout the journey, adding that his own perseverance played a key role in achieving the milestone.

“I want to thank GOD. He has never left my side, silently guided me on what to do and how to, even when other mortals wouldn’t understand what, why or how. Secondly I wanna thank ME! Oga@DTop for trusting my Intuition and NEVER GIVING UP!” he thanked God.
