Kenyan creative Timothy Njuguna, alias Njugush, shared how he moved out after landing his first cheque worth Sh30,000.
In an interview with Kameme FM, Njugush revealed the move almost backfired after he ran out of cash.
"I got my first cheque of Sh 30,000 and I shifted and went to Taj Mall.
At the time I was dating Celestine, she helped me look for a house.
I had never rented before then.
What nobody told me was that the money would never be enough as I had to pay a deposit."
Njugush went on to add
"We found a house whose rent was Sh 8K, I paid the deposit water deposit, and electricity it all amounted to 20K.
By the end of that week, I had suffered. I started eating biscuits and tomato sauce.
It was part of the shopping my mum had done for me."
At the time Njugush had started working with Abel Mutua.
