Socialite Vera Sidika has hit back at comedian Eddie Butita after he publicly criticised men who attended her recent boob launch party, accusing him of shading them out of personal envy.
The disagreement began when Butita took to social media on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, to question why men were present at Sidika’s event celebrating her recent breast augmentation.
He expressed surprise at men attending a party centred around a woman’s new surgery and suggested that their participation was unusual and inappropriate.
“So I was on the internet and I saw Vera was having an event to launch her boobs. For those who do not know, Vera has new breasts following surgery and she was holding a party to celebrate that. I have no problem with the bash itself, amazing content, even the women who attended,” Butita said.

He also implied that attending such an event as a man did not align with national development priorities, prompting discussions online about social norms and male participation in such gatherings.
“The problem is, I saw men in the video. I am surprised. What is a man doing at a boob launch? Those men in the video, what are they doing at such a party? Maybe you will say ‘I am busy tomorrow’ or ‘I have a boob launch’, but honestly, are we going to build a nation like this?”
Sidika, however, has dismissed his criticism, framing it as sour grapes over the fact that he was not invited.
In a video shared on Instagram on Thursday, September 25, 2025, she highlighted that attending a boob launch would naturally appeal to men and argued that his disapproval was more about envy than moral judgement.
She also addressed his suggestion that men should not attend such events, pointing out that no straight man would refuse an invitation to a boob launch, and described his reaction as unnecessary bitterness.

“I have seen that people are actually complaining… let me not just say people, it’s Butita. I have seen him complaining that men attended my boob launch party. First of all, I thought it was so funny and even I laughed at first at the way he was describing it. But I thought about it and realised that Butita was just bitter that he was not invited,” Sidika lashed.

Additionally, Sidika emphasised that she found his initial comments amusing but later recognised that his remarks were driven by jealousy.
She suggested that future invitations could include him if he wished to attend and see her new enhancements, framing her response in a playful yet pointed manner.
“Because what man would not want to be at a boob party? He is a man, my friend, he cannot refuse to go see breasts. So why be bitter, bro? You should have just told me that you wanted an invite. No straight man would actually say no to a boob party. Anyway, I said what I said, but that is it. Butita, I know you are angry, but it’s okay, there is a next time. I will invite you, and if you want to come see my new boobs, just come. But stop being bitter,” the socialite added.
