Mr. Seed pays tribute to his mom with a new song

Kenyan musician Moses Tarus Omondi, popularly known as Mr Seed, has released a tribute song dubbed ‘I love you mama’ in honour of his mother, who died last week.
Celebrating her life, the king of vocals praised his mum for raising him with lots of love and care she showed him, adding that she loved him more than he loves himself.
In the song, the ‘Ex-Wangu’ hitmaker promised to make his late mother proud.
“I love it when you smile, mama, smile where you are. Unanipenda kushinda vile najipanda nataka ukiniona daily unasema my son, you have made it; I wanna make you proud,” he sang.
On August 30, 2024, Mr Seed announced the passing of his beloved mother.
Taking to his Instagram account, the singer broke the sudden news of the untimely passing of his mother, who succumbed to an undisclosed illness while undergoing treatment, to his fans.
“Rest now, my love; I will love you forever,” Mr Seed wrote.
Until her demise, Mr Seed’s mother had been ailing from an undisclosed illness and had been admitted to the hospital.
Before she passed on, the musician reached out to his fans, asking them to pray for his ailing mother, who had been battling a serious condition since last year.
He also shared his mother’s struggles and how she was forced to be in and out of Nairobi hospitals.
“Mum has been i*l since last year and has had many complications. It became an emergency. I have been in and out of Nairobi hospitals… she was transferred to Eldoret,” he said.
The artiste further disclosed to his fans how difficult and heartbreaking it was seeing his mother suffer, urging his followers to continue praying for her healing.
“I have been in and out of different hospitals for one and a half years trying kutafutia my mom matibabu.. It is so heartbreaking seeing our mum suffer every day… but still, God is faithful, and we are hoping and praying for her healing.
“Guys, help us in prayers. .. her situation is not that good, but we are praying for healing,” a visibly distressed Mr Seed said
