Mr Ibu to be buried today, Friday 28th June, three months after his death
Nigerian actor and comedian Mr Ibu will be buried on Friday June 28th three months after his death.
A night of tribute was held on Wednesday in Enugu state. The Nollywood actor's wife remembered the struggles he had undergone while seeking treatment.
“I am feeling so sad that I am not with my husband here. I am not happy at all after all the efforts and sufferings we went through to save his life,” she told the Vanguard
Adding; “I don’t know what to say! Where do I start from? It’s so painful seeing my husband cry like a baby with me, saying “Oh first class is this me?” I was watching my husband crying and gnashing his teeth. I was in the hospital with him.
“There was a time we wanted to fly him abroad for further treatment. We sent letters to two Indian hospitals, America and Germany, but they all rejected him," she said
Thursday, June 27th, there will be a Christian service at the actor's home in Eziokwe Amuri, Nkanu West, Nigeria.
On Friday, June 28th, the actor will be laid to rest.
On Sunday, June 30th, there will be a thanksgiving ceremony for the actor's family.
Real name John Ikechukwu Okafor was born on 17th October 1961 and died on 2nd March 2024.
