Removed wedding ring and threw it - Mercy Masika reveals when her marriage almost ended

Gospel minister Mercy Masika Muguro has narrated the story of the year she and her husband David Muguro almost gave up on their marriage.

In an Instagram post meant to encourage people, Mrs Muguro said this happened six years into their marriage.

"I stood outside our compound, caught in a heated argument with my husband. I can't recall the details, only the weight of financial struggles, rising emotions, and feeling that we couldn't agree on anything," she explained

Adding "In my anger, I felt something snap inside me. Before I could think twice, I yanked off my wedding ring, threw it into the field, and shouted 'I can live without you.' The words stung even as I said them but my pride wouldn't let me take them back."

She said the sixth year of their marriage was the hardest for them as she felt everything was falling apart.

She added that looking back 16 years later, she wished she had known the value of seeking therapy.

"The problem wasn't really each other. It was the unresolved grief we carried- grief my husband bore after losing his mother, finances, and relatives all in a short period. We were trying to fight battles we didn't fully understand and it took a toll on both of us."

The 'Mwema' hitmaker went on to reveal that her ring was found in the field a year later by a man cutting grass.

"By that time, my husband and I had begun to heal, finding the ring felt like a sign, a reminder of how far we'd come."

Masika now wears the ring describing it as a symbol of their love, a testament to the power of forgiveness, humility, and faith.

"Marriage isn't easy but when you allow God to step in, even the hardest seasons can turn into a testimony of grace," she concluded.

Mercy is managed by her husband who is also a gospel minister and she is always celebrating him on many occasions.

"My hubby has been one of my greatest decisions @davidtmuguro Even if I had the chance to pick anyone in the world, I would still choose Him," Mercy said about her hubby.

She also celebrated him with a cute message on his birthday.

"Happy Birthday my Love. Every day with you is an overwhelming blessing. And because you cling to Jesus you only get better. Thank you for being my best friend, personal Pastor, ministry partner,r and wonderful husband.
