Kikuyu content creator Mbote Njogu has marked day one of his Mombasa tour with a candid reflection on why he feels being a content creator comes with far greater value than being in a traditional 8-5 job.
In a video he shared on his TikTok page on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, Mbote spoke excitedly about starting his Mombasa vacation and lamented how people in traditional jobs cannot enjoy the freedom of going on a spontaneous vacation like he did.
“At this hour, life is just flowing. Some people are in offices at this time, but I am here by the ocean on a Wednesday, soaking in the sea and feeling calm,” he said.
Mbote then said he could not believe that while he was enjoying life in the ocean at 3 pm, some of his friends were still stuck in offices, waiting for five o’clock to finally head home.
He then jokingly added that sometimes it is even better not to be highly educated, as content creation often does not require academic credentials.

“You are in an office waiting for the time to go home. Sometimes it is even better not to have studied,” he said.
Mbote is among the fastest-rising Kikuyu content creators in Kenya, attracting well-paying brand deals almost every single day as his popularity continues to soar.
His content largely revolves around Mugiithi singer Wanjiru wa Waya, with whom he stages hilarious and often outrageous home scenarios that have kept their followers hooked for years.
The duo’s skits thrive on role reversals, with Mbote stepping into the role of Wanjiru’s husband while Wanjiru flips the script by portraying his wife.
This playful swapping of identities adds a unique layer of comedy and relatability, keeping fans eagerly anticipating each new video.
The pair is usually joined by a third actor, long-time collaborator and gospel singer Njoki wa Ndegwa, popularly known as Komanda, who plays their witty and sometimes mischievous househelp.
What makes their videos resonate so strongly and attract thousands of views is the recurring theme of marital infidelity.
Mbote often finds himself in comedic yet scandalous scenarios where his character is caught in the act with the househelp, creating tension and laughter in equal measure.
The skits unfold in lively, often chaotic domestic situations, with Wanjiru delivering explosive reactions every time she discovers Mbote’s antics.
