Maureen Waititu is navigating the dating field as a single mum of two.

She opened up in the Blended Family podcast channel that there is a big difference between dating before and after kids. 

"I had mine when I was young, had just cleared uni, and then I'm here on the other side with the two of them, with a different body, different priorities, everything is different including my type, it's clear now, coz there's that aspect of growth, "

She is co-parenting well with her baby daddy.

Speaking about blended families, Maureen said that she finds it important to introduce her new man to her baby daddy.

"If I feel that this person is going to become a permanent fixture, then...I remember earlier on during my breakup with my baby daddy there was something I told him before everything went down. I told him I will always respect you, if I get somebody in my life and I feel like they are going to be here, I would want you to be the first person to know. so that there are no surprises no matter how painful it might seem, we are gonna sit down and work through it."

She further added;

"That was a desire of course it didn't happen but in my ideal world that could be it. I would love to be so cordial with my ex-partner to be to tell them hey listen this is happening and my kids, you know coz there will be many changes. This person would maybe want to be there permanently and maybe have his fatherly duties."
