The popular Gen Z couple who met and fell in love during Maandamano have split up.

Tony and Kendy met at the height of the protests, and immediately began their romance.

Their love story went viral when he shared his experience on his Facebook page.

The couple got married not less than two months ago.

Tony announced the decision to split, while declaring his intention to date immediately.

He also encouraged new 'applicants' to locate him via DM.

"NO MORE MAANDAMANO COUPLE 💔 Kuna mwenye atasema ilikua brief kama maombi ya chakula😂 I want to officially announce that am no longer married 💔 Mambo imekua mob , maandamano imekua mingi! My heart is wide open for any girl out there bora tu usiwe unavuta bangi🙏🏿" Read his breakup message.

The two had gotten married on August 25th, around Archives, in the CBD.

They wanted to share their big day with fellow Kenyans who had supported them throughout.

"We The Maandamano couple Tony and Kendi, would like to invite you to our wedding that will be happening on the 25th of August 2024 in Nairobi CBD where we met. All are invited. It's about time we officially get married."

Tony also shared details of their wedding day outfits suggesting he was looking forward to taking his vows.

"Tomorrow is a day to start a new chapter. I know it has got ups and downs but with God everything is possible I pray for the two of us to have a peaceful marriage even though we met in an anti-government protest 😊 See you kesho pale Nairobi CBD at exactly 12pm. All of you are invited Kendi ❤️" they penned an invite to the public.
