UK based Kenyan actor Lenana Kariba has urged ire dads to embrace being Stay at home dads.
According to Kariba, this gives one a chance to see their child grow.
During a Q and A segment a fan asked if it was really true he was a stay at home dad, to which he responded
“Yep, I’m 100%stay at home dad and it’s the best. We are lucky with our setup as wifey works from home in the UK. So for lunchtime and little breaks, she comes and plays with us but I definitely take the lead in childcare during the week. To my men what are you waiting for? Daddy life is awesome and it makes sense financially. Trust me you will have the best time watching your little one grow," he said.
He went ahead to share how he and his wife have been earning a living.
"This is how it works for wifey and I. I make money coming back to Kenya for acting work,, I still do content creation work and some other passive income from assets I own in Kenya. That’s given me freedom to be very chilled in the UK. So I keep my income in Kenya and we use it when we are there and for building our new home etc."
In a past interview on Kiss 100 one of the things Kariba opened up on was were he had met his wife.
"We met here in Nairobi actually. She was born in the UK but she was raised between Kenya & the UK. I met her here. We both have a mutual friend but we had never met… I know this guy.
We’ve known each other for 7 years and she’s known him for 7 years. They hang out and I hang out with him…. We met two years ago when we went to his birthday party…”
The two exchanged vows on August 11, 2021, at the Pineapple Beach Club in the Caribbean Islands of Antigua.
The couple have one child together.
