"Lazima Niwe Serious Sasa": Kanyari Pledges To Change His Behaviour

Salvation Healing Ministries founder, Pastor Victor Kanyari, has publicly vowed to change his lifestyle and behaviour following the death of his ex-wife, Betty Bayo.

Speaking during a sermon on Sunday, November 23, 2025, Kanyari cited the need to set a better example and take responsibility for his two young children, Sky and Danny.

The pastor explained that he can no longer live recklessly as he did in the past. He emphasised that being serious and responsible is now his priority because of his children.

“Lazima sasa ni behave; siwezi kuendelea kucheza vile nilikuwa na cheza lazima niwe serious sana kwa sababu sasa I have two young children, Sky and Danny, ambao sasa I have to take care of them,” Kanyari said.

In addition, the self-proclaimed prophet added that he will change not only his behaviour but also the house which he intends to live in with his children.

“In my house na kaa nawatu zaidi ya 200 people wanaka kwangu, wanakunywa huko wanakula huko, so jana yote nimeshinda nikitafuta nyumba ya kununua ambaye watoto wangu wanaweza kaa maana sitaki kufukuza wale watu wako kwangu na nikapata nyumba mzuri sana iko upande wa Runda,” he added.

On Sunday, November 16, 2025, Kanyari revealed that he is set to acquire a Ksh90 million mansion in Runda, Nairobi, which he plans to move into with his two children.

He said that during the visit, there was one mansion, valued at Ksh90 million, that stood out distinctly in his mind, compelling him to declare it as the house he intended to buy.

“Yesterday, I was in Runda looking for a house to buy. I went with some people from my church, and the house we looked at was valued at 90 million shillings. I told the people with me that this is the house we will buy,” Kanyari said.

The property features a swimming pool, which Kanyari said will provide a space where his children can enjoy themselves and have fun.

The pastor noted that while some members of his group suggested a more affordable house valued at Ksh45 million, he decided to go for the more expensive option.

He said the decision was motivated by his desire to give his children a comfortable home where they can spend time and engage in activities such as swimming.

“It even has a swimming pool. Some of them suggested another house worth 45 million, but I told them no, we will buy this 90 million house. This is where my children will live and enjoy themselves, swimming and spending time there,” Kanyari added.

This comes after the pastor, through a live Facebook session with TikToker Obidan Dela on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, brushed off claims that he will not be able to care for the children.

“I am a good father. I may not be a good husband, but I am a good father,” he said

He further expressed confidence that he can raise them well.

“Sky na Danny nawapenda, na wataishi maisha mazuri kuliko yenye walikua wanakaa,” he added.
