Busia Senator Okiya Omtata has been offered a Mercedes Benz by journalist Ken Mijungu.
The KTN deputy editor has sympathized with Okiya who was sadly involved in a road accident last week.
The Senator showed the wreckage of his car.
Omtata was on Thursday evening involved in a minor road accident in the Ojolla area on the Kisumu - Busia road.
The senator's saloon car which was heading towards Busia was hit by a truck that was ascending the Ojola steep hill towards Maseno.
Thankfully, he escaped without injuries.
Kenyans were surprised to learn that the Senator drives a simple car, with the perception that he owned a top-of-the-range car like a Landcruiser or Range Rover that his peers drive.
Ken took to his social media to announce his intentions.
"Pole sana my friend senator Okiya Omtata. You cannot however drive a Nissan Advan. You are prohibited by your status." the journalist scolded Omtata.
Mijungu shared several pictures of a Black Mercedes Benz that he felt was befitting of the politician.
"With the work you have done for Kenyans hata kama hatrutachangia tununue SClass we have to. I have spoken to my friends and they have this for you"
Kenyans appeared to agree with Mijungu's sentiments saying they could not Omtata risking his life again, and the humility he has displayed while fighting for the rights of Kenyans in court.
