Jose Chameleon throws shade at Bobi Wine during General Muhoozi rally

Singer Jose Chameleone stirred up thousands of revelers at the recent political rally organized by Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) in Masaka city.

Performing in the afternoon heat alongside scores of other artists, the Leone Island boss took a few seconds to aim digs at his political and music nemesis Bobi Wine, referring to him as a “fala.”

“Ono Muhoozi fire…temuzina n’oli fala tuzina ne Muhoozi,” Chameleone said to the big rally of mainly youths, calling them to dump Bobi Wine for Gen Muhoozi.

The entire Greater Masaka region is known stronghold of Bobi Wine’s National Unity Platform (NUP) going by the results of the 2021 presidential and parliamentary elections.

At the Masaka event, Chameleone was brought to the stage by Bebe Cool. The former foes hugged, danced and performed together some of Chameleone’s big tunes including Kiboko Fire, Mateeka, Nkoleki, and Mama Mia.

Gen Muhoozi’s Masaka tour was graced by minister’s parliamentarians and other national and local leaders.

It came however, at the backdrop of emerging cracks in the NUP support in the region following the clash between the former Leader of Opposition who is also the Nyendo-Mukungwe MP Mathias Mpuuga, and Party President Bobi Wine

In the view of political mobilizers, Gen Muhoozi will be looking to take full advantage of this fissure to pull the region to his group.
