Henry Omondi, popularly known as “JKIA Boy,” is looking forward to a brighter future after receiving a new set of teeth courtesy of renowned comedian Eric Omondi.

The camera-shy teenager shot to fame earlier this year during protests against the controversial Adani Group takeover of the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

His passionate defense of the airport during the demonstrations, spearheaded by Gen Z activists, earned him widespread admiration and the nickname that has now become part of his identity.

Eric Omondi, a consistent advocate for the youth, took a personal interest in Henry’s story.

Recognizing his zeal and courage, the comedian collaborated with Port Florence Dental Hospital to give the boy a complete dental makeover.

Expressing his gratitude to the dental team, Eric lauded their dedication to transforming Henry’s smile and boosting his confidence.

“Finally, we got our brother new teeth. Thanks a lot to Port Florence Dentist/Hospital in Kisumu St Stephen’s Cathedral ACK.” Eric captioned on the video he shared on his Instagram page.

He also pledged to take Henry on trips around the world as a token of appreciation for his inspiring efforts during the protests.

“We are going to fly him around the World to say thank you to him,” he added.

The Adani Group protests were fueled by fears of privatization and potential job losses at JKIA, with Henry emerging as a youthful yet vocal leader in the movement.

His determination and heartfelt speeches during the demonstrations resonated with many, making him a symbol of resistance for the Gen Z generation.

In addition to Eric’s support, Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba has also stepped in to ensure Henry’s future is secure.

She pledged to sponsor his education and provide him with new clothes for the festive season.
