Influencer and life coach Njeri Muigai has broken her silence on her separation from her husband -Kikuyu gospel artiste Muigai wa Njoroge, telling fans she "tried her best to fix her marriage but it did not work".

The mother of four while speaking to Muthoni wa Kirumba alias BabyTop on Kameme FM did not give timelines and failed to clarify whether she has signed the divorce papers.

"So, are you married?" Baby Top inquired to which Njeri Muigai responded saying; "Not any more. We tried our best but it did not work." The quote was loosely translated from her Kikuyu verbatim.

The 41-year-old, however, hailed her former partner for being a great father to their children and wished him and his new partner blessings.

During her previous interview, Njeri Muigai opened up about briefly surviving her polygamous marriage which eventually led to her separation from her husband.

Njeri revealed that polygamy was one of her greatest childhood fears since she grew up in a home where her dad had two households.

Recalling how she met her husband, Njeri revealed she met Muigai who had visited where she lived with a friend. After three days, the two got married and she conceived immediately and later gave birth to their firstborn daughter who is now 21 years.

She recalls her husband's breakout in music and their eventual move to their plot of land in Mwihoko, Githurai 45. At the time, the singer had started gaining fame.

Njeri Muigai enjoyed wedded bliss until her husband married a second wife. She said Muigai had opened up to her about his desire for a polygamous marriage after barely two months into their marriage but she thought he was playing gimmicks with her.
