
"If She Dies Today I Won't Feel Anything" Churchill Show Comedian Mtumishi Speaks on Strained Relationship With His Mother

Churchill show comedian Gilbert Baraza well known as Mtumishi has opened up on his life struggles including the strained relationship with his own mother.
The comedian shared on the lack of support from his own mother especially when he chose comedy as his career.
He detailed how upset his mother was when she saw him on Churchill show, to a point where she told him to that she did not want to see him anymore and asked him to leave.
"My mother told me when she saw me on Churchill show that I should go away and that she should never see me there."
Mtumishi added that his mother did not believe he had appeared on TV because she did not support her.
"She did not support me at any way. She used to say I was making noise in the house. She was told by neighbors that I would end up a mad person. They did not understand that I was talented. My mother disowned me and I don’t regret not visiting her."
The comedian revealed that it has been two years since he lady spoke with his mother.
"Let me just speak the truth. My mother...even if she dies today, I won't feel anything. As a child, you might miss your mother and feel the urge to visit her; for the last two years, I have not talked with her. I don't pick up her calls. I have messages and missed calls in my phone I can show."
According to Mtumishi, his mother played him dirty, including ruining his marriage because she didn’t like his wife. He even accused her of using witchcraft to ruin the marriage.
Reflecting on his challenging journey, he further shared that his father was not supportive either and who, despite working at Royal Media, refused to provide bus fare for auditions.
Mtumishi and Mchungaji are part of a group called Kreative Generations. The two comedians, rose to fame through the Churchill Show.
