Kenyan socialite and beauty entrepreneur Huddah Monroe has taken a surprising turn in her views on President William Ruto following recent gains of the Kenyan shilling against the US dollar.

Just months after declaring Ruto would be remembered as the worst President in history, Huddah has now shifted her stance praising him for turning things around.

"Good morning beautiful people. I wanna thank God for life. And our President for whatever he did! This dollar rate is making me scream!!!! I love you Mr Prezzo may The Lord take him to Ksh90/$1," Huddah expressed.

She further emphasized the importance of acknowledging small victories and giving President Ruto the chance to redeem himself.

"Sometimes let's celebrate the small wins. We can't always be complaining and expect change to happen. Let's give Mr. R the chance to redeem himself. From 167 to 148 isn't a joke on fx. It makes a huge diff!" she stated.

On Thursday, February 15, 2024, the dollar buying rate averaged Ksh145 per dollar, while the selling rate averaged Ksh148 per dollar.

The Kenya Bankers Association (KBA) has stated that the exchange rate between the US dollar and the Kenyan shilling is expected to remain unpredictable.

According to John Gachora, the KBA chair and NCBA Group Managing Director, this unpredictability is due to the forces of supply and demand.
