Media personality Oga Obinna has responded to shocking allegations of exploitation levelled against him by Abantone musician Stoopid Boy in a recent video.
The accusations caught Obinna off guard, particularly given his efforts to support Stoopid Boy’s music career following the artist’s rehabilitation.
“This happened sooner than I expected,” Obinna remarked, his tone reflecting disappointment. “I’m holding back from saying too much, as it often stirs more trouble than good. Honestly, I’m heartbroken after watching that video.”
Obinna admitted he had anticipated potential issues, which prompted him to maintain some distance while still extending assistance.
The timing of the claims stunned him further, as he had funded a music video shoot for Stoopid Boy just a day prior.
“We filmed a music video for him yesterday, and I covered the costs out of goodwill,” he explained, emphasising his commitment. He noted that video producers could verify the shoot, despite the crew arriving late.
“They tracked down Stoopid yesterday to make it happen, and though delayed, they managed to capture something. I’m still awaiting the final footage,” he added.

Rather than responding with anger, Obinna expressed empathy, suggesting Stoopid Boy might be grappling with challenges following a relapse.
“I don’t want to frame this as wasted resources or money—I’m unsure how to feel. I feel sorry for him, and for myself too,” he shared, his voice tinged with sadness.
He appealed to the public to refrain from attacking Stoopid Boy or those supporting him. “Please, don’t insult him. We all know that’s not the real him; we understand what’s driving this behaviour. Let’s support and accommodate him. Perhaps he’ll see it later, or maybe he won’t,” Obinna urged, advocating for compassion.
Despite the setback, Obinna reaffirmed his dedication to helping others, even when his efforts go unappreciated. He encouraged fans to back Stoopid Boy’s upcoming release, identifying it as Sangwangwa.
“The music video will drop soon, and when it does, please support it—support the guy,” he concluded, showing resilience amid the controversy. His response highlights a blend of personal hurt and professional resolve, leaving room for reconciliation as the situation unfolds.
Obinnas response comes after the rapper had gone on an angry rant, accusing the comedian and his management of withholding the Ksh1 million contributed by Kenyans to support him going back to his career.

According to the video he posted on TikTok, he said that all the views and likes from his fans benefited Obinna and not him. This forced him to term the action that, Obinna was just using him.
"Kama Obinna ameshindwa kutunza bibi na watoto wake, mimi anaweza kuniweka," Stoopid Boy said.
