Huddah reveals intriguing details about Vybz Kartel

Socialite Huddah Monroe has claimed that she is now getting accustomed to the new appearance of Jamaican dancehall star Vybz Kartel, nearly two weeks after his release from prison.

Kartel, 48, was released from prison after serving 13 years due to what authorities said was a deterioration in his health.

Photos of the artist after his release have been circulating online, showing him with a swollen face, a stark contrast to his appearance before his imprisonment.

Some experts have suggested that the artist is suffering from Graves' disease—an immune system disorder that affects the thyroid gland, causing the body to produce excessive thyroid hormones.

Monroe stated that this different appearance won't make her dislike Kartel, saying that when you love someone, you love them in all circumstances.

"I’m now starting to get used to Vybz Kartel's head. Vybz Kartel is my life, and when you love someone, you just love them no matter what. He can do no wrong," she said.

Huddah went on to post old photos of Vybz Kartel, claiming that he didn’t have a great appearance even before his illness and compared him to Mumias East MP Peter Salasya in his struggling days.

"Teacher! He never really had a good look anyway; he used to look like Salasya in those hustling days. Back then, he was dark-skinned and poor. We must love Vybz as he is now; the guy was never handsome, it’s just his good music that you can’t separate from him," she said.

Earlier, we reported that the artist announced plans to hold his first live show later this year, 13 years after his last performance.
