Entrepreneur Huddah Monroe has opened up about her struggles during her younger years, recalling a time when she had no money, no plan, and faced constant financial pressure.
In a heartfelt post on Sunday, November 2, 2025, Huddah reflected on how difficult it was to survive during holiday seasons when bills kept piling up and support was hard to find.
Huddah shared that life as a young woman was not easy, especially when she had no stable income. “I know how it feels not to have a plan and no money. Kwanza holiday times, rent is looking at you, bills on bills, Wababaz all busy with family,” she said. According to her, being young and trying to figure out life came with challenges that left her feeling vulnerable and disappointed.
Huddah went on to explain that her younger years were filled with lessons and painful experiences. She revealed that being naïve made her an easy target for people who took advantage of her, especially older men.
“Being young and naïve is fun, but very, very difficult and disappointing because people take advantage of you in a major way, especially older men,” she stated.

The businesswoman said she would never want to relive those times, describing them as tough and humiliating. The former reality TV star added that she is grateful for her growth and independence today.
“I wouldn’t want to be that young again. I’m happy where I am. Not fully figured out my life, but at least I don’t have to beg people for peanuts,” Huddah shared.
Today, Huddah is among Kenya’s most recognised beauty entrepreneurs. She is the founder of Huddah Cosmetics, a beauty brand that has gained popularity both locally and internationally. Her social media shows a life of comfort and success, a sharp contrast to the days she struggled to make ends meet.
Through her reflection, Huddah’s message served as a reminder of her journey from hardship to stability. She continues to inspire young women to pursue financial independence and self-respect, saying that growth often comes from enduring life’s most difficult seasons.
