Recently, model and CEO of Rich Beauty Cosmetics, Huddah Monroe, shared a throwback mirror video set to Omalay's soulful track "I'm a Mess."

The choice of song exposes the raw emotions of heartbreak and confusion, showing a challenging period in her life that resonates with anyone going through a tough time.

Known for her discretion regarding her romantic life, Huddah has successfully maintained an air of mystery around her relationships.

However, she recently took to Instagram to explain her decision to end a four-year relationship that seemed destined for marriage.

Her ex-boyfriend, despite his charm and good intentions, was a chronic liar, creating a toxic environment that ultimately led to their split.

"I was gonna get married to the dude. But he would LIE! The lies were just sooooo much! He was kind, loving, and caring—he never beat me up—but he would lie for days! And he never accepted that he was lying! Damn,” she wrote.

Huddah reflected on why she stayed in such an unhealthy relationship for so long. Known for her love of the finer things in life, she admitted that she often stayed for the extravagant gestures.

He would take her on lavish shopping sprees, which temporarily healed the wounds caused by his dishonesty.

She described herself as "drunk in love," often losing herself in the luxury experiences he provided.

"He'd lie, then I'd get mad. Then he’d spoil me rotten afterward. He always had lots of money to throw around after a lie.

The guy could make you wait for him at a restaurant for two hours before he arrived. Then he’d come with a $10,000 bundle, a Rolex, or a bouquet of flowers,” she added.

She concluded by sharing that whenever she tried to walk away from the relationship, he would resort to emotional pleas.

He would kneel and shed tears, begging her not to leave, trapping her in a cycle of manipulation.
