President William Ruto's son, George Ruto has offered a rare insight into his daily routine, business philosophy and personal values during an interview shared on Instagram by content creator Fabian.
Speaking about what a typical day looks like for him, Ruto described himself as a pilot, investor, and supporter of grassroots football initiatives.
According to him, his schedule is often split between aviation, business interests, and community activities.
“I am a pilot, an investor in the public transport sector, and I also support grassroots football,” he said.
His remarks shed light on the different roles he balances away from the public spotlight. While he is widely known as the son of Kenyan President William Ruto, George has increasingly been associated with business ventures and youth-focused initiatives.
Faith Comes First
When asked about the one thing he never leaves home without doing, Ruto pointed to his faith.
He said prayer remains a daily habit that he considers essential before beginning any activity.
“I never leave my house without praying.”
The statement reflects the importance of religion in his personal life. Kenya remains one of Africa’s most religious countries, with a majority of citizens identifying with a faith tradition, according to national census data.
Lessons for Young Entrepreneurs
A significant part of the conversation focused on business and advice for young people seeking success.
Ruto referenced a book called The 1% Rule, which promotes the idea of making small, consistent improvements every day rather than chasing overnight success.
“There is a book called The 1% Rule. It talks about how each day you should make a move or take a step towards the big step.”
He said many young people focus too much on achieving a luxurious lifestyle immediately, rather than concentrating on gradual growth and long-term goals.
“Young people should not want the flashy life immediately.”
Instead, he encouraged them to remain committed to their passions and areas of interest.
“Do what you believe in and what you like.”
Focus on Long-Term Growth
Throughout the interview, Ruto repeatedly emphasised consistency, patience, and discipline as important qualities for success.
His message centred on the idea that meaningful achievements often come from steady progress rather than quick gains.
For young entrepreneurs and professionals, his advice was simple: stay focused, trust the process, and continue taking small steps towards larger ambitions.
“Each day you should make a move towards the bigger goal.”
