Fik Fameica: A collabo with Chameleone is not that important to me

Fik Fameica said a collaboration with Jose Chameleone wouldn't necessarily add anything consequential to his music career.

"I can manage on my own. I don't see why I need to look for Chameleone for a collabo," said Fameica, who also goes by Fresh Bwoy, when he was asked why he hasn't sought Chameleone for a duet while appearing on Galaxy TV. "Unless we both feel it and decide to drop a duet..."

Fik Fameica has dropped some huge collaborative projects with household names and upcoming talent. The most recent big duets are Bwe Paba, which he did with Sheebah Karungi and was produced by D’Mario and Artin Pro, with a video filmed by Jahlive.

He also featured on Pose, a song by Kateleya & Kandle, which is on their Call It Love EP. It was produced by Artin Pro and the video was filmed by Wax.

He also teamed up with B2C on Crazy Company, which was produced by Nessim, with a video directed by Jahlive.

The rapper, whose real name is Shafik Walukagga, is set to hold a concert on January 26 at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala.

Born on January 10, 1996, in Kawempe, Fameica went to Kawempe Junior School, Dungu Hill Primary School, Kawempe Royal College, Stennar Hill School, Kawempe Muslim School, and Oxford High School. He stopped in Senior Five.

He used to sell second-hand clothes while still a young boy and some of his customers were singers who used to hang out at Jahlive's studio in Makindye, Kampala.

It's at this studio that he recorded his first song and video. He had been singing while in school.

His first single was Pistol, which was produced by Kuseim and video shot by Jahlive. He was under the management of Geosteady.

It was followed by Mbega wa Baala. The first songs didn't have original beats. He just sang on beats from old songs. The second song was produced by Avie Records Studio.

His first song recorded with original beats was Mutuwulira, which was produced by Nessim. However, it didn't do as well as the first two.
