Eric Omondi Raises Over KSh 800,000 for Grandmother Who Tried to Pay School Fees with Chickens

The viral story, which captured national attention, showed Aoko arriving at Adiedo Mixed Secondary School with her grandchildren and a crate of chickens, hoping to settle part of their fees.

 

The touching images of her sacrifice stirred emotion across the country, prompting Eric Omondi to act.

 

Omondi quickly took to his social media platforms, calling on his followers to help him locate the family.

 

“Please help me find this mother. If you know her, please DM me or comment with her number. Thank you,” he posted on Instagram.

After successfully locating the family, Omondi travelled to meet them and accompanied them to a KCB Bank branch in Kendu Bay.

There, he personally ensured the family received support—not just for their immediate needs but for the future as well.

 

 

Through his Sisi Kwa Sisi Initiative, Omondi raised over KSh 800,000. He announced that all school requirements for the grandchildren had been fully met, and KSh 600,000 had been deposited into an account to cater for their college education.

 

 

“Team Sisi Kwa Sisi, God bless you. We raised over KSh 800,000. All school requirements are sorted. We even opened an account for mum and deposited KSh 600,000 to support the children’s college,” Omondi shared in a heartfelt post.
