Controversial pastor James Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism is once again making headlines, this time for a viral video where he is seen waking up a woman caught napping during one of his church services.
In the video circulating online, Pastor Ng’ang’a is observed addressing the sleeping congregant, inquiring about where she came from before instructing her to leave the service temporarily to “take a breather.”
“Where are you from? Wake up and take your stuff. Leave and stay outside; you will come later,” he exclaimed.
Ng’ang’a humorously suggested a solution to her apparent sleepiness, advising: “Enda upigwe na baridi. Anyeshewe na mvua asikie baridi,” meaning, “Go out and be rained on, let the rain cool you down.”
He warned his congregants against sitting next to someone dozing off, stating:
“Nikikuta mtu amelala akiwa karibu na wewe nakutoa na yeye,” or “If I find someone sleeping close to you, I will remove both of you.”
This isn’t the first time Pastor Ng’ang’a has been captured in controversial situations.
In a separate video, he instructs an usher to pour out the money collected as tithe, expressing disappointment that most contributions were in smaller denominations.
In another startling video, the pastor gave unmarried individuals a six-month ultimatum to get married.
“For people who have not married or been married. I have given you a six-month ultimatum. If not, why should your wife, or husband be snatched? Do not tell me about mpango wa kando, stop these nonsense.”
“Tell me your weaknesses, because people with the most problems are married women.”
Ng’ang’a also said he does not want female hospital attendants anywhere close to his body once he is dead.
Ng’ang’a said women will analyse his body and start ridiculing him while he is dead.
“When I die, I believe my God. These female nurses will not touch my private parts. I will die even on the road, you cannot touch my private parts saying, ‘Come and see Ng’ang’a’,” he said in yet another video.
