"Diamond ni Kama Babangu": Mbosso Hints at Mending Ties With Diamond Platnumz on Stage in Tegeta

The Wasafi family feud seems to be taking a surprising twist after singer Mbosso left fans in Tegeta wowed when he performed Yataniua, a 2022 collaboration with his former label boss Diamond Platnumz, even going as far as singing Diamond’s lines on stage.
The moment, which played out during a heavily hyped concert on Saturday, August 30, 2025, instantly sparked speculation that the bitter row between the two stars may be cooling down.
For days, Mbosso had drummed up support for the Tegeta event on social media, and fans were not expecting him to acknowledge Diamond’s work given their ongoing fallout.
In a video shared on YouTube by a popular Tanzanian content creator on Sunday, August 31, 2025, he was captured passionately performing the lyrics of the song, whose theme is centred on the lengths people go for love.
The star kept gliding from one corner of the stage to another, with his troupe of dancers, among them flamboyant socialite Bonge la Dada, trailing him in sync.
But the highlight came when Diamond’s chorus hit. Without flinching, Mbosso belted out the lines, igniting an eruption of screams, cheers, and jubilation from the ecstatic audience.
‘Pawa’ fallout
The dramatic move comes just weeks after the feud over Mbosso’s mega hit ‘Pawa’ that turned into a source of public tension within the Wasafi family.
The clash began when Diamond’s cl
ose ally, Baba Levo, claimed on August 17, 2025, that Platnumz deserved at least 50 per cent of the credit for Pawa.
The comment did not sit well with Mbosso, who furiously dismissed it, stressing that the hit song was entirely his creation and accusing Diamond of failing to silence misleading voices around him.
“The only person who can confront or challenge Baba Levo is you, bro, not me,” Mbosso said at the time, warning that no one should attempt to downplay his creative ability.

Diamond, however, hit back a day later in a fiery Instagram post, insisting that he had nothing to be jealous about. Instead, the WCB boss maintained that he had nurtured Mbosso’s career from the start, revealing that he had written “almost 90 per cent” of his catalogue.

“I have always tried to act wisely and support you, not harm you. I never wanted this matter to spill onto social media,” Diamond explained, adding that he had previously tried to resolve the issue privately.
He further argued that leaving a label should not create unnecessary hostility, pointing out that Mbosso himself had once shown resentment toward fellow Wasafi alumnus Rayvanny after his exit.
“I told you that it was not right; leaving a label is normal, not a reason for hostility. Yet every time I worked with him, you complained and questioned why I continued to support him.”
