
DCI detectives nab 205kgs of bhang worth ksh 6.2 million

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations have apprehended a suspected trafficker and seized approximately 205 kilogrammes of bhang hidden in gunny bags.
According to the DCI, the bhang bust occurred on Sunday night at Komarock Phase 2 Estate, following a joint DCI operation.
During the police raid, 41 bales of bhang stashed in gunny bags were discovered at Hse No. 228 belonging to Alah Mohamed Kala.
According to DCI officers, the owner of the house was taken into lawful custody as a suspect in drug trafficking.
"The seizure weighing 205kg estimated at a street value of Sh6.2 million was processed and marked as exhibit, alongside a Toyota Noah Reg. No. KBL 186E believed to be a proceed of the illegal trade," the DCI said in a statement to the media.
"Pursuit of Kala's accomplices is underway as he fervently prays for a route back to liberty."
